• RWWCP is in the fifth year of the program term.
• Begun implementation of the Best Management Practices Analysis and Evaluation Plan
(BANEP).

TRASH FREE WATERS – ENGAGE & EDUCATE TASK
• Task 3 - Engage & Educate task of grant includes work on encouraging a cleanup
culture
• Formed a short-term Advisory Group to help inform work on task. Held first meeting on
Sept. 9th. Scheduled to meet again on October 21
st

• Under this task, project team is connecting with communities and recreational groups on
unique cleanup activities such as plogging or integrating litter cleanups with cycling and
paddling
• Outcome is the development of resources and/or toolkits to help local governments connect
with recreational groups and their communities on unique cleanup activities
