Dear customer !

It is quite normal that records get dirty over time despite careful handling. Dust can be

removed with a brush or a lint-free cloth. However, only professional cleaning removes

fingerprints or dirt particles.

With VINYL CLEANER PRO you purchased a comfortable record-washing mashine for

your valuable LPs. The gentle and fully automated wet-cleaning is done by counter-rotating

microfiber cleaning barrels and ultrasound followed by a drying process. The cleaning process

protects your record collection from damages caused by dirt and improves the sound quality.

For a standard operation all you need to do is push the record vertically down into the slot

and press the red start button. Everything else is done automatically.

1 How to use these instructions

These instructions enable you to operate this device safely and efficiently

- Read the instructions carefully and familiarize yourself with the device before using it.

- Keep the instructions in a safe place.

- If you give the device to a third party, make sure to pass on the operating instructions with it.

2 Intended use

Vinyl Cleaner PRO is designed to clean 12-inch (Ø 300 mm) vinyl records.

The device must only be used according to the information given in the operating instructions.

The manufacturer assumes no liability for possible damage caused by improper use or incorrect

operation.

The device may only be operated with the original equipment and original spare parts.

Please note that the device is only intended to be used according to the operating instructions, which

have to be adhered to.

Incorrect use

The following is not permitted:

- cleaning records that are smaller than 12 inch

- using acid cleaning liquids or cleaning liquids that contain alcohol

- using inflammable liquids

The use of materials and parts, that are not approved by the manufacturer, can lead to damages of

the device and dangerous situations and is not permitted.

4 Safety instructions

This section provides an overview of all the important safety precautions for the ideal

protection of persons and safe and reliable operation of the device.

4.1 Product safety

This device complies with all state-of-the-art and recognized safety standards.

Nevertheless potential hazards still remain.

WARNING !

- Before operating the device, check if the operating voltage indicated on the label

corresponds to the local mains voltage.

- Do not use the device if the mains plug, mains cable or power supply unit or the

device itself are damaged or the device has been dropped or water is leaking out of it.

- If the power supply unit, mains cable or the device itself are damaged, it may only be

repaired or replaced by the manufacturer.

- Do not leave the device unattended as long as it is connected to the mains supply.

- This device may be used by children over 8 years old and by persons with limited

physical, sensory or mental abilities or persons with no previous experience,

provided that they have been instructed thoroughly how to safely use the device

and appropriate supervision is guaranteed.

Adequate instructions about the risks involved when using the device are essential.

Do not allow children to play with the device.-

- Keep it away from children under the age of 8 years while it is switched on.

CAUTION !

- Only connect the device to an earthed power socket.

- Always use the device on a level and stable surface.

- Check the mains cable regularly for possible damages.

- Disconnect the mains plug from the power source

while refilling or emptying the water tank-

- while cleaning the device

- if you stop using the device.

-The device is solely intended for indoor use.

Before transporting the device, the cleaning liquid mus be emptied out.

- Do not dispose of the device in the normal domestic refuse at the end of it´s life cycle.

Return it to your dealer or to an official collection point for recycling.

- The packaging is made of eco-friendly material and is thus recyclable.

5.1 Description of Functions

The records are automatically cleaned and dried when the device is started.

The cleaning liquid is dispensed on the record in order to clean it. Dirt particles are

ultrasound and removed from the record by four rotating microfiber rollers.dissolved by

6 Operation

CAUTION !

During normal use, no liquid may leak out of the device. In case of a fault, disconnect

the mains plug and contact the manufacturer.

6.1 Preparation

1. Place VINYL CLEANER PRO on a level surface.

- Check using the spirit level (5).

- The air bubble must be roughly in the middle of the circular mark.

2. Check the filling level of the cleaning liquid.

- The float must be aligned with the upper edge of the level indicator .(3)

- Refill with cleaning liquid when necessary (see section "Changing cleaning liquid ).“

- he green LED (1 ) lights up when the level is sufficiently highT 5

4and the red LED (1 ) stops lighting up.

3. Check the wet filter (7).

- The wet filter must be inserted completely into the slot.

- The cover must be fitted on properly.

4. Connect to the power supply.

- Connect the round jack plug (24 V) of the power supply unit (10) to the socket (9).

- Connect the power supply plug (230 V) to the earthed power socket.

5. Turn on the main switch (1 ).2

- The LED (1 ) above the main switch must light up yellow.1

- If the filling level is sufficient, the LED (1 ) lights up green. If the LED (1 ) blinks red,5 4

recheck the filling level.

The device is now ready for use.

1. Repeat steps as described in section 6.1 "Preparation".

2. Insert the record into the device from above and press down until a slight resistance can be felt.

3. Turn the record counterclockwise until the wiper lips (4) fold upwards and you feel the record

slipping noticeably between the driving rings.

4. Press the start button (1 ).3

- An acoustic signal can be heard.

- The LED (1 ) lights up yellow.6

5. There is an acoustic signal following the completion of the cleaning process and the LED (1 )5

lights up green.

6. Take out the cleaned and dried record.

6.2 Cleaning a record

CAUTION !

Make sure the record is rotating after the cleaning process has been started.

Only a rotating record guarantees a normal cleaning process and prevents damages

.of the record. No liability is assumed for damage if this warning is disregarded

6.2.1 Extremly dirty records

If the records are extremely dirty, it may be necessary to extend the cleaning process.

3In order to extend the cleaning time, keep the start button (1 ) pressed until a signal can be heard.

There are several signals if the button is pressed for longer. Each signal extends the cleaning time

by one minute. It is possible to extend the time by a maximum of five minutes (five signals).

6.2.2 Repeat the drying process

The drying process can be repeated in case water drops are still left on the record after the cleaning process.

1. Keep the start button (1 ) pressed down.3

- The drying process starts automatically after six signals.

- Make sure you do not touch the wet cleaning barrels while taking out the record.

This requires a little skill and experience.

NOTE !

Make sure you keep the start button (1 ) pressed down until the drying process starts.3

Otherwise the cleaning process (including the washing) will be restarted.

6.2.3 Inserting the record

Inserting the record properly helps to ensure good cleaning results without damaging the record.

1. Insert the record vertically into the slot. Make sure that the record is inserted into the designated

retainer (picture 6.1). Then turn the record to the left with gentle pressure so that the driving

rings can grip and the record can be transported safely.

CAUTION !

If a record is inserted as shown in picture 6.2, the record might get damaged.

If the record is not transported, turn off the machine immediately and insert the record

properly. Then restart the machine.

No liability is assumed for damages. These damages are detectable by microscope.

7 Cleaning liquid

The cleaning liquid consists of distilled or demineralized water and concentrated cleaning liquid.

The liquids are mixed together inside the water tank.

- Distilled or demineralized water can be purchased in shops.

- The concentrated cleaning liquid can be purchased from the manufacturer.

NOTE !

Only use the original cleaning liquid! Other cleaning agents may cause

malfunctions or irreparable damages to the device (e.g. due to excessive

foaming, attacking the water level window) or damage the record. The

original concentrated cleaning liquid also prevents the record from becoming

electrostatically charged. No liability is assumed for damage to the device or

records if this warning is disregarded. Furthermore, the warranty will be thereby

invalidated.

CAUTION !

Keep the concentrated cleaning liquid away from children.

The cleaning liquid must not remain in the device for more than 4 weeks.

8 Changing the cleaning liquid

Approx. 100 records can be cleaned with one bottle of concentrated cleaning liquid,

depending on the amount of dirt.

CAUTION !

Never allow children to change or refill the cleaning liquid.

Pull out the mains plug of the power supply unit from the power socket before changing the liquid.

Wipe up any leaked fluid immediately.

8.1 Emptying the device

1. Place the device above a suitable bowl or sink.

- The collection bowl must be able to hold at least 4.5 liters of liquid.

2. Open the drain plug (8).

- In order to empty the device completely, tip the device slightly backwards and to the side.

3. Screw the drain plug back in again and tighten it.

8.2 Filling the device

For each filling operation, the following are required:

- 4.5 liters of distilled or demineralized water

- 1 bottle of concentrated cleaning liquid

1. Fill the clean cleaning liquid into the rinsing chamber (6).

- The cleaning barrels do not have to be removed.

- The float must reach the upper edge of the level indicator (3).

Due to evaporation, the filling level may become insufficient to start the cleaning process

(LED (13) lights up red). Top up with some distilled or demineralized water.

9 Cleaning the device

Cleaning the outside surfaces

- The outside surfaces can be cleaned with a damp cloth. Use a mild household detergent or

cockpit spray to remove more severe dirt.

Cleaning the water tank

- When the cleaning liquid is changed or the device emptied completely because it is not in

use anymore, slightly tilt the device before draining the cleaning liquid, so that dirt particles

are flushed out. Then drain off the cleaning liquid. Repeat this several times during draining

until the water tank is completely empty.

Cleaning the rinsing chamber

- After use and drying the rinsing chamber can be blown out with air.

CAUTION !

Pull out the mains plug from the power socket before cleaning the device.

The device must not be put in water.

10 Changing the cleaning barrels

The four microfiber cleaning barrels last a long time, but they should be replaced after approx.

500 cleaning cycles. This reduces the risk of the records being scratched by residue on the barrels.

If the device is not used for several weeks, the microfiber cleaning barrels should be checked to see

if they have gone hard, and replaced if necessary in order to avoid damage to the record.

Fixture for the cleaning barrels

1. Pull the cleaning barrels off upwards

2. Put new barrels on the shaft (2) and

push them down carefully.

3. Rotate the barrels and press them down

slightly until the drive pins (1) slide into the

corresponding holes in the barrels.

4. Press the barrels down all the way to the

end stop.

11 Cleaning the wet filter

The cleaning liquid is constantly filtered during operation.

Depending on the amount of dirt, the filter will need to be cleaned or replaced from time to time.

Inspection interval: after approx. 100 cleaning cycles

CAUTION !

If the wet filter is not pushed all the way down, cleaning liquid may leak out of the device

while it is operating

1. Remove the cover.

2. Pull out the wet filter (1) upwards.

3. Clean the filter with distilled or

demineralized water.

4. Reinsert the cleaned or new filter.

5. Put the cover back on.

12 Changing the water wipers

Check if the wipers are still working properly after approx. 500 cleaning cycles.

If water drops are still left on the record, or the record is no longer dried properly,

the wipers must be changed.

1. Remove the microfiber cleaning barrels

(see section 10).

2. Push out the wiper (1) carefully to the left

while holding it with both hands.

3. Insert the new wiper in reverse order.

4. Put the microfiber cleaning barrels back on.

Unplug the mains plug from the power socket before changing the water wipers.

Always be careful when you reach inside the device to avoid abrasions or injuries.

The lips of the wipers may tear if the pressure is too great.

13 Changing the driving rings

The driving rings are subject to regular wear and tear.

If the record is not rotating properly anymore or jerks, the driving rings must be replaced.

Inspection interval: after approx. 500 cleaning cycles.

CAUTION !

1. Remove the microfiber cleaning barrels

(see section 10).

2. Remove the old driving rings (1) by pulling

them over the drive rollers using your fingertips.

3. Place the new driving rings on the drive rollers

from above and push them down until they

click into the retainers.

4. Check that they fit correctly.

5. Put the cleaning barrels back on.

Unplug the mains plug from the power socket before changing the driving rings.

.Always be careful when you reach inside the device to avoid abrasions or injuries

1. Fumes come out of the Vinyl Cleaner PRO when the cleaning Liquid is pumped upwards.

- This is caused by the activation of the ultrasound. There is no reason to panic. Everything is ok.

2. The record does not rotate after it has been inserted into the slot, or only rotates with a jerk.

- The drive system consists of two pins pressing against each other with driving rings.

The record might not be inserted exactly between the driving rings. After pressing the button

to start the cycle, turn the record slightly to the left while pushing it downwards.

3. The record is inserted properly between the driving rings, but it still does not rotate properly

or slips through.

- Check if the two drive rollers with the driving rings are rotating. If so, the driving rings are worn

and must be replaced. Sometimes records jerk due to their material, deformation or size.

4. Viewed from the front, the record wobbles on the left side and keeps hitting the

edge of the cover or constantly touches it.

- Vinyl Cleaner PRO can wash records of various sizes. The drive rollers adapt themselves to the

dimension of the record. Hence the record may rotate from the center to the left. This is normal

and is not a defect.

5. Vinyl Cleaner PRO makes a squeaky sound.

- During the cleaning process, the wet wipers may squeak when the record is rotating. If this noise

does not stop after several records, the wipers should be replaced (see section 12).

6. I would clean the inside of the device. What can I do ?

- Generally, all wearing parts including the microfiber cleaning barrels, cleaning filter, driving rings

wipers and ventilator covers can be replaced by the user. We also offer an inhouse service

to exchange all wearing parts and test your Vinyl Cleaner PRO for any malfunctions. For

information on cleaning the device see section 9.

7. The record is not completely dry or there are water droplets left on the surface.

- This may be due to a number of factors beyond our control. For this reason Vinyl Cleaner PRO is also

equipped with an additional drying cycle (see section 6).
