GOLF CART POLICY
Permanent Transportation
For students who have permanent disability accommodations and who request transportation to and from some
or all classes, the following procedures will be followed to ensure safe and timely pick up and drop off on campus:
1. The golf cart will be outside at an agreed upon pick up location 5 minutes before the start of class.
2. The driver will wait for 5 minutes; if the student does not arrive, the driver will leave.
3. The student will provide a 24-hour advance notice of any change in schedule, location, or cancellation of
the need for pick up and/or drop off. (It is recognized that notice may be last minute due to unforeseen
circumstances)
4. Notice will be given by either emailing [email protected]du

(909) 748-8069.
Temporary Transportation
For students who have temporary disability accommodations and who request transportation to and from some
or all classes, the following procedures will be followed to ensure the safe and timely pick up and drop off on
campus:
1. Students requesting temporary transportation will need to provide a doctor’s note with a timeframe of
need for rides.
2. As Academic Success & Disability Services (ASDS) provides golf cart transportation to students with
permanent disability accommodations, priority will be given to the pick up and drop off of these students.
ASDS will accommodate as many temporary transportation needs as possible and will notify students if
scheduling conflicts occur causing delays.
3. If ASDS is unable to accommodate a transportation request, please contact Public Safety who may be able
to provide transportation at (909) 748-8888.
4. The golf cart will be outside at an agreed upon pick up location and time which will be communicated to
the student through text message.
5. The driver will wait for 5 minutes; if the student does not arrive, the driver will leave.
6. The student will provide a 24-hour advance notice of any change in schedule, location, or cancellation of
the need for pick up and/or drop off. (It is recognized that sometimes this is last minute due to unforeseen
circumstances).

Please note: There may be occasions where the golf cart/driver is delayed. If this should happen, we will notify the student via Google Text.
