The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Scholars Program offers stipend-paid summer internship

AIME Women's Auxiliary (WAAIME) Scholarship Fund
On an annual basis, the Women's Auxiliary to AIME (WAAIME) Scholarship fund provides scholarships to
students pursuing degrees in the earth sciences as related to the minerals field. Fields recognized by WAAIME
may include mining, geological sciences, metallurgy, petroleum, mineral sciences, materials science and
engineering, mining economics, chemical engineering, and other related studies. Students are eligible to
receive a maximum of two years of funding from WAAIME. The two years may be two undergraduate years,
two graduate years, or one undergraduate year and one graduate year. Should extenuating circumstances
occur, the student’s sponsoring section’s scholarship chair may recommend that the WAAIME Executive
Committee approve a third year of funding for a student. Students wishing to receive funding must reapply
annually. The number and amount of scholarships awarded yearly shall be dictated by the funds available and

IEEE Electron Devices Society Ph.D. Student Fellowship Program
The IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) established the Ph.D. Student Fellowship Program to promote,
recognize, and support graduate level study and research within EDS.
At least one fellowship will be awarded to students in each of the following geographical regions every year:

The field of interest for EDS is all aspects of the physics, engineering, theory and phenomena of electron and

ACI Foundation Fellowships (American Concrete Institute)
Fellowships are offered to high-potential undergraduate and graduate students whose studies relate to
concrete and are identified by ACI-Member Faculty. The Student Fellowship can have a nominal term of up to
two academic years, renewed annually, and may extend through graduate study. Annual renewal will be
subject to re-nomination and reapplication. To receive an application and be considered for an ACI

Air Force Aid Society Merit Scholarship
The Society awards a minimum of ten $5,000 merit-based scholarships to incoming freshman who have
completed both phases of the General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant application, and therefore, have
already been reviewed for eligibility and had their Grade Point Average (GPA) verified. Selection is based on
cumulative GPA, SAT/ACT scores, transcripts, and an essay on a specified topic. Winners will be announced in

Brass LIFE Award for SDSM&T Students
The Brass LIFE (Leadership Involvement Foreign Experience) Award was established by the Brass Family
Foundation to emphasize the importance of campus leadership and international educational experience for
students. Selection is based on the LIFE criteria, including the student's participation in campus leadership,
involvement in activities both on and off campus, and interest and desire to study abroad to gain
international experience. Funds for at least one semester must be used to study abroad through a program

Frank Family International Fund for SDSM&T Students
The Frank Family International Fund was established to emphasize the value of and to create opportunities
for international educational experiences for SDSM&T students with benefits to the host countries. Emphasis
is placed on projects of a humanitarian nature with particular interest for projects or studies taking place in
Latin America. Other developing countries are considered, but projects in Latin American countries will be
given preference. Students who receive funding are required to provide a written report on their

Goedeker's is a St. Louis-based, family-oriented company that has been in operation since 1951. Any student
that is enrolled in an accredited college is eligible to participate (any grade level, freshman to senior,
undergrad and graduate alike are eligible). Any major or field of study is acceptable.
High school seniors who are enrolled in an accredited college, either for a dual credit program or for the
upcoming semester, are eligible to enter as well. There is also a special scholarship program for people who
are employed in public service positions in particular. This includes: federal, state, and local government
employees; police officers and firefighters; active military, reserves, and veterans; public school teachers;
